Happy National Library Technicians Day!!

Happy National Library Technicians Day to all Library Technicians, particularly those in NSW and the ACT!

Don’t forget that today marks the start of registrations for the ALIA National Library Technicians Symposium in Canberra:

be quick! Only 300 spaces are available!!

Have a great day!!

What a great idea (or Rather – there’s Nothing New Under the Sun!)

As described here, the idea of a book dispensing machine is nothing new:

Reminder – Twitter and other Social Media

We very close now – only a couple of days left. Just a reminder that we are extremely Twitter and Social Media friendly.  I want to encourage mad tweeting on the day to #unmeash2102.  See our Social Media page for more details. Bring your tablets, smartphones or laptops.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Roll on Saturday!

We are rapidly closing in on Saturday and the 4th Library Technicians Unconference – Unmeash! Pecha Kucha speakers are lined up and eager to show their 20 slides and talk on 4 great topics. We have at least 1 Lightning Talk spot available if you’d like to have a go! Numbers have been great and the excitement for the day is palatable. Don’t forget lunch is either bring your own or come along to the Rag & Famish pub (great Beef and Guinness pies!). Or you can go to the local shopping centre.

Get ready to contribute your ideas, your enthusiasm and energy into what should be a fantastic day of networking and cooperative learning.

Connie and I are really looking forward to welcoming you all to Unmeash 2012!!

Registrations have closed

I am happy to announce that we have a full house!  Well, a crowded house.  Registrations have now closed for this event. If you are interested in attending, please contact us.

Take our Poll/Survey

Click on this link: or go to our Suggested Topics page from the above menu on this website to vote for your top four topics – as suggested by you. We would like to have a good idea of what the most popular ideas are prior to the day in order to minimise the time taken trying to work out which we will pursue.

Free Stuff!!

We love Free!!

This is a great site to discover some amazing free tools that you can use at work and at home:

The Centre for Learning and Performance Technologies (C4LPT) is a free resource site on the use of new technologies for learning and performance.  It is one of the world’s most visited learning sites on the Web, with over 100,000 monthly visits.  C4LPT was founded by Jane Hart.

Well worth a visit!
